Here are the cards I created for todays Hop!

First is the Welcome Home Stamp & Coordinating Die Set :

I love making my own Patterned Papers and this set was fun to do that with. I used a panel of GKD layering weight White card stock and a stamping block to stamp one of the birds in Sea Glass and the smaller dot, Stamped the single leaf and larger dot in Apple Mint. Then on a different piece of the layering weight card stock I used the stencil ( Fizzy ) from the Peace, Love & Sushi Card Kit and inked it up in the same two colors. Next I used the New Master Layouts 2 Die set to cut the two panels out in the stitched die and the back layering die I used Black Onyx. Attached the layers with adhesive. Stamped the birdhouse in Amalgam ink and colored with Copic Markers. Then die cut the pole. Fussy cut the birdhouse because I got out of lines! 🙂 I grabbed my Misti stamping tool and stamped the Welcome greeting on the stenciled panel and stamped the Home on a piece of scrap paper. Attached it with foam squares cut in half. Attached the learns together and on the card base. Popped up the bird house and added bling with connect glue.

Then I have a card made with the Stamp Set – Love Conquers

This is a quick card that as fun to create and turns out great. Card Base 4 1/4″ X 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ Using a piece of White Layering Weight Card stock I prepped for heat embossing. Put in my Misti and placed the greeting on the panel in the center. Stamped with Embossing Ink and then added the White embossing powder and heat set. Grabbed a blending brush and Apple Mint ink and blended the ink over the greeting and going lighter on the edges of the greeting. Next I inked up the Fizzy Stencil that comes in the Peace, Love & Sushi Card Kit with Sea Glass ink and blending ink light around the panel. Used a micro fiber cloth to remove any ink residue from the heat embossed greeting. Grabbed the Master Layouts 2 set and die cut the stitched panel and a Black Onyx panel with the larger of the two. Wrapped twine around the bottom area of the panel and added the little Heart embellishments. Used foam tape and attached the panel on a tilt.

And the last sample is made with Delightful Blooms

I couldn’t wait to color this image with my white pencils. I used Stormy Sky Card Stock and heat embossed the Delightful Blooms Flower image in White Fine Detail embossing powder. Then I used a White Prismacolor Pencil to color in the flowers. I used a N5 Copic marker for the dark area under the flowers. Used some velum and Heat embossed a greeting in Black Embossing Powder and wrapped around the corner of the panel. Attached it on the back with adhesive and then Layered it with a piece of Black Onyx Card Stock. Attached that on to a White Heavy Base Card Stock 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ Card Base.

Hello and Welcome to Karen's Creative Designs. I have been enjoying making cards for about 6 years now. I started out making Scrapbooks for the Grandkids. Searched You-Tube for techniques for background and found Gina K.Designs. I was hooked and just had to make cards! I have always been one to have a craft of some sort to do. I have done some crochet, jewelry making, pottery, cake making, ect.... you get the picture! I am hooked on card making and I love that it brings a smile to someones face when they receive a handmade card!

  1. The coloring on the gray cardstock is awesome. Such beautiful designs. I need all the inspiration I can get these days in quarantine!

  2. Karen, this card is something special. Colours very refined and calm. Delightful Bloom set Beautifully illustrated It will stay with me for a long time as it works for so many occasions and just stunning in its standing out amongst the mainly coloured flower cards of summer. Love it. 🌺

  3. I love these cards! It has been great to see examples of cards that can be made with this new release. Having examples usually takes all doubt out of my mind and convinces me to buy and create!

  4. Absolutely beautiful card projects. Love the Sea Glass birdhouse. So cute. I think it’s a lot of fun to use the large sentiments as the focal image of a card. And boy, don’t we all need encouragement? It was a surprise to see your floral card done with the white pencil but I love it just as much as all the ones I’ve seen with bright colors. Sometimes I think we forget that something dramatic can be very easy and soothing. Thanks!

  5. The Sympathy card is so elegant and perfect for such an occasion. The Welcome card is beautifully done; the colors were perfect!! I love your work, so inspiring!!
