Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge

Hi Everyone and Welcome to my Blog. 😊❤️

This month I am hosting the Monthly Mix Challenge over at Gina K. Designs Blog.

I thought it would be fun to do some ink smooshing and share two ways to do it. The Challenge is to do some ink smooshing and make it a fall themed card. I used my Gina K. Designs Mini Ink Cubes for this technique and some inexpensive watercolor paper.

I gathered my materials: ( I will have a link down below the cards so you can see all the times used for these cards. )

Stamp Sets, Ink Cubes, Dies, Card Stock and Watercolor paper, Glue and Tape Runner and Bling.

Here is how I put it all together.

I started out smooshing my ink cubes on my TH glass mat (you can use many different surfaces to do this on. Like a piece of acetate, glass, mix media mat, or anything that you would use to do watercolor on that is waterproof.) Then I smooshed my ink cubes in a area that was near the size of my piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ watercolor paper.

Smooshed 4 different colors on my mat.

Spritzed with water so the colors would spread out some.

Then placed my watercolor paper over the wet ink. Rubbed my fingers over the paper and let it set for several seconds.

Then I lifted the paper…… and I am always surprised at the results. No two are ever alike! 😍

Giving it time to dry while I work on the second piece.

On This panel I used a stamping block I have had in my stash a long time. You can used any block you have. A round would one would be cool. I may have to try that one myself. ❤️ I smooshed the lights color first. This is Prickly Pear.

Then I added the Tangerine Twist sprinkled around.

Finished it off with smooshing the Fired Brick and the Coral Reef ink cubes.

Spritzed with a bit of water.

Once I got the ink wet I flipped my block over and placed it on the watercolor panel.

Gave them both plenty of time too dry.

Then Cut out with the Master Layouts Dies 2

Used the Skeleton Leaves Mini Stamp set & the Forever stamp set for the greeting on the first card. Then stamped the word Forever on the second one and used the Grateful Die.

Here are all the items used for these two cards!

Card with a Tag for the Gina K. Designs MMC Dec. 2019

Hi Friends! Happy December… ❤ The Tree is up as well as the stockings and a few other decorations! I am really enjoying our cooler weather here in East Texas.

I made a card & tag with the Christmas Silhouette stamp set and dies! I stamped a lot of the flowers and then die cut them out. I used the Christmas Script for the To: on the tag.

I have been a little obsessed with the Black and White (Buffalo Plaid). So I decided to make a background to look like that, and then Die cut it out with the oval dies and then did a black layer to add behind it. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make a tag or a card… So I made both! LOL. I rearranged the poinsettias and added the greeting. I thought this would make a great tag as well. So now, matching card and tag for someones gift this year! 🙂

Here are the Items used for this card and tag!

Monthly Mix Challenge!

Welcome to my Blog! Hope you all are having a great Thursday! The Holidays are getting close and I am thinking of all those preparing Thanksgiving meals. This year Hubby and I have decided to stay home and enjoy his 4 day weekend. Hopefully the rain will pass quickly and we can get in the yard some. 🙂 What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Are you cooking? Staying Home or traveling?

For this Months Challenge over at Gina K. Design, the Challenge is to make a project with Snow or Snowmen on it. So I made a card to play along. I can’t get enough of the Folk Art Snowflakes that came in the Recent Card Kit – Warm Winter Wishes. Here is the card I made. CAS. I love the Tranquil Teal accents and the softness of the Ocean Mist.

These are the product I used. I didn’t list the Card Kit as it is sold out. The set will be available before long. The embossing folder isn’t listed below as Gina don’t carrie it and not sure where to find it.

Thank you for stopping by and spending a few minutes with me! I hope you will comment on what you are doing for Thanksgiving! 🙂 Have a wonderful day and a Happy Thanksgiving! ❤ To Check out the details of the Challenge you can click > Monthly Mix Challenge

Monthly Mix Challenge!

This Months Challenge is Hosted by: Mindy Eggen!

Her challenge is to create some Ombre Inked blending for your card. Here is what I came up with! I used Gina K. Designs Bold and Blooming Stamp Set

Along with some Oxide Inks for my background. I Blended them together with Picket Fence – Life Changing Blending Brushes.

I love how easy these brushes are to blend ink and to clean up! I don’t have the full set of Oxide Inks but I do have some and here are the three I used for this card! Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, & Peacock Feathers.

I used a little water and some reindeer – Black Onyx to add the droplets on the background!

There is still a couple of weeks left to join us in the Monthly Mix Challenge, and remember there will be 3 winner picked! Gina K. Designs a $25.00 Gift Certificates for those winners! ❤ To Join in the Challenge click – Gina K. Designs Monthly Mix Challenge

Monthly Mix Challenge

Welcome to my New Blog! ❤

Thank you for stopping by and visiting.

It is still a work in progress…  🙂  I was looking forward to playing along in Cat’s “My Sentiments Exactly!” Challenge this month. I knew I wanted to do a little Alcohol Ink & Fancy Foils. This technique is so much fun to do and I love that each one turns out different.

This card is for January’s Monthly Mix Challenge MMC12019

  Using Gina K. Designs:

Mini Stamp Set – Grand Greetings

Pure Luxury Card Stock – White Heavy Base and Layering Weight, Black Onyx

Fancy-Foils™ – Silver Glitter

Amalgam Ink – Jet Black

From Squares, Adhesive Dot Runner, Foam Tape

I also used Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution for the background.         When the ink kind of puddles or collects in a area and as it is drying,        before totally dry it is a bit sticky. That is when you can place a piece of the Fancy Foil over it, the sticky ink will grab the foil and leave a bit of the sparkle and shine behind on  your background project. ❤

Thank you for stopping by and visiting!

Hope you get a little inky and have a great day!
