Gina K. Designs February Monthly Mix Challenge!

Hi everyone! We have a New Challenge up over at Gina K. Designs

This month I am hosting the Monthly Mix Challenge and I am looking forward to seeing all the Beautiful cards in the Challenge. Here are the two cards I made when I was deciding on a challenge! The Challenge this month is to use Coral as the main Color on your card and a peek of the inside!

Love is all You Need h

Did a little Emboss Resist on this card. I Love that technique as it really brings out the details in the image you stamped and heat embossed!

Gina K. Designs January 2019 Release

Sharing a couple of cards made with the New Stamp Set – Today and Always by: Lisa Hetrick This set is so much fun to create with if you are just wanting to stamp the images or do a water color look. She makes it easy with this set!

Today and Always
Today and Always Watery Background!

Gina K. Designs: Stamp Set – Today and Always
Pure Luxury Card Stock – White Heavy Base Weight, & Blue Lagoon
Premium Dye Ink – Coral Reef, Blue Lagoon, Peach Bellini
Amalgam Ink – Jet Black Connect Glue, Foam Squares
Watercolor Paper, Black Pearls, & Twine

For this card I masked off the top and bottom part leaving a open space. Then I grabbed a acrylic block and inked it up using Gina K. Designs Mini Dye Ink Cubes and smooched ink all over the block. Spritzed the paper lightly and then sprayed the block with the ink on it. Flipped it over and placed in on the watercolor paper in the center that wasn’t masked off. Let is set for a minute and lifted it off. Let it dry really well then placed the panel in my Misti and inked up the flowers and leaves and stamped them. Because it is watercolor paper and has texture I had to stamp then a few times! Same with the Greeting. It is inked up with the Jet Black – Amalgam Ink. Added the panel to a layer of Blue Lagoon Card Stock and add the Twine. Popped it up on a Card Base!

Next Card is one I used the Awesome Polka Dot Stamp that is in this Set! ❤

Gina K. Designs:
Stamp Set – Today and Always
Pure Luxury Card stock – White Heavy Base & Layering Weight, Kraft, & Black Onyx
Premium Dye Ink – Black Onyx, Key Lime, Grass Green, & Fresh Asparagus
Fine Detail Embossing Powder – White
Adhesive Dot Runner
Foam Squares
Versa Mark, Zig Clean Color Markers, Bristol Smooth Paper for flower, & Twine

Gina K. Designs January 2019 Release Featuring Open Book By: Melanie Muenchinger

The Illustrators did a fantastic job on their sets and I couldn’t wait to share my cards with you all!

All about Cats
On this card I stamped the Book and Cat on Watercolor paper using the Amalgam Jet Black Ink, my Misti and then grabbed Daniel Smith watercolors and had fu coloring in the cat. While it was drying I stamped the background with the Diagonal Striped Background Stamp in Key Lime and then turned the paper and stamped it again in the Tangerine Twist. Cut the book out and popped it up on the background and layered it with the Black Onyx Card Stock. Then attached it all to the White Heavy Base Card Base.

Gina K. Designs:
Stamp Set – Open Book
Background Stamp – Diagonal Stripes
Pure Luxury Card stock – White Heavy Base & Layering Weight, Black Onyx
Premium Dye Ink – Moonlit Fog, Tangerine Twist, & Key Lime

For my Next Card made with Melanie Muenchinger’s New Open Book Stamp Set, I saw it and wanted to create a card that looked like a color chart or a art journal. So this is what I came up with!

Monthly Mix Challenge

Welcome to my New Blog! ❤

Thank you for stopping by and visiting.

It is still a work in progress…  🙂  I was looking forward to playing along in Cat’s “My Sentiments Exactly!” Challenge this month. I knew I wanted to do a little Alcohol Ink & Fancy Foils. This technique is so much fun to do and I love that each one turns out different.

This card is for January’s Monthly Mix Challenge MMC12019

  Using Gina K. Designs:

Mini Stamp Set – Grand Greetings

Pure Luxury Card Stock – White Heavy Base and Layering Weight, Black Onyx

Fancy-Foils™ – Silver Glitter

Amalgam Ink – Jet Black

From Squares, Adhesive Dot Runner, Foam Tape

I also used Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution for the background.         When the ink kind of puddles or collects in a area and as it is drying,        before totally dry it is a bit sticky. That is when you can place a piece of the Fancy Foil over it, the sticky ink will grab the foil and leave a bit of the sparkle and shine behind on  your background project. ❤

Thank you for stopping by and visiting!

Hope you get a little inky and have a great day!
